Idaho ADU
Building an ADU in Idaho — documented from Day 1.

Privacy

This site is a personal project documenting the build of an ADU in Idaho. This page explains what data the site collects, who processes it, and how to get it deleted. I kept it short and specific.

What the site collects

When you comment. Comments run on Comentario, which I host on my own server. If you leave a comment, it stores your comment text, the name you post under, and your email address. Comments are public. If you sign in with Google or Facebook to comment, Comentario receives your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider, and nothing else.

When you subscribe to the newsletter. The signup form is run by MailerLite, which stores the email address you enter so I can send new-post updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

When you use the contact form. The form is run by Formspree, which passes your message and email address to me.

When you visit any page. The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. It records the usual: pages viewed, rough location, and device and browser type. My server also keeps standard access logs, which include your IP address.

Who processes your data

I use a few outside services to run the site. Each one only gets the data it needs to do its job.

I do not sell your data. I do not share it beyond the services above.

Cookies

Comentario sets cookies to keep you logged in and to protect the comment forms. Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits. MailerLite may set a cookie on its signup form. That is the extent of it.

How long I keep it

Comments stay up until you delete them or ask me to. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Analytics data follows Google's standard retention. Deleted comment data can sit in server backups for up to 30 days before those backups roll over.

Getting your data deleted

You can delete your own comments and your comment account yourself, or ask me to remove everything. The steps are on the data deletion page.
